GCSE PROGRAMMES

Fully organised by us

Our GCSE programmes are intended for students of any ability. All students are catered for; regardless of how well the student is doing currently in school – we’ll make the topics much easier to tackle! All our material is differentiated accordingly. It is designed to give students the thorough grounding in English and Maths that is essential for students to excel at the GCSE. The course is also written to encourage students to delve deeper into the syllabus, by providing them with challenging work, but by supporting them through those challenges. In this way, we can stretch the student’s ability thereby making the GCSE exam feel easier. Schools can decide to have Regents Camp UK in all 6 holidays periods in the academic year or as little as one. We will have detailed discussions with the school lead to customise the programme to the schools and student’s needs. Students are set mini-tests and are given review work with guidance based on their performance in the test. There is plenty of exam practice – and guidance with the past papers – is given, but only when the student is ready for it! Our course and our approach to teaching is highly structured and meticulously organised – and our lesson structure follows in the same vein. Sessions are broken up into manageable chunks of 60 minutes each; so, the students don’t get bored, tired or lose concentration. We also specialise in intensive courses for Year 11 students broken up into 15-hour modules every holiday. The focus here is to deep dive into particular topics and lots of exam technique practice where required.

Teachers

We provide high quality, qualified teachers that deliver tailored lessons. Our fantastic team of teachers have one aim – to bring out the best in your students.

That’s why you’ll find Regents Camps teachers extremely friendly and welcoming with a real interest in your students and your views on their progress. It all makes for a great atmosphere of support and encouragement for your students to grow at their own pace – with plenty of personal attention in these small group sessions.

All our team are DBS Enhanced checked and trained in Safeguarding.

Small Groups

Students will be placed into designated groups of up to 6-9 students, based on their year group. This allows us to focus on each pupils’ individual needs and requirements, and means we can target the specific areas of each subject that they need most help with.

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) finds that, on average, pupils attending a holiday programme can make:

  • 2 months’ additional progress (compared with pupils who do not attend)
  • Up to 4 months’ additional progress if the camp offers small group tuition led by highly-trained and experienced teaching staff
  • Evidence suggests a broader benefit for families and communities, support for vulnerable children and young people, pupil mental health and wellbeing, improved education engagement and transitions, and reduced youth violence.

High Retention

We maintain a high retention rate with our students through fun lessons and also providing a £50 voucher.

As part of the incentive for students to attend the camp, Regents Camps UK will provide a free gift voucher. We provide vouchers for every student who has 100% attendance, punctuality and good behaviour at our 3-day camp.

They can be redeemed in over 20,000 stores, restaurants and attractions, with over 150 top brands to choose from such as Argos, Boots, Matalan, River Island, TK Maxx, H&M, Iceland, Wilko, Home Sense, Foot Locker, iFLY, Ernest Jones, The Works, American Golf and The Food Warehouse.

Locations

We usually host the programme on the school site. This works well as students and parents are already familiar with the location.
